Tim McMahon

Partner

Tim McMahon is a Partner with Ringgenberg Law Firm, where he focuses his practice on commercial contracts and transactions and corporate matters. Joining the firm with over a decade of experience as in-house counsel to multinational corporations, including LG Electronics and Abengoa Solar, Tim has broad experience in negotiating contracts and structuring transactions varying from mergers and acquisitions, joint development agreement, purchase and sale agreements, real estate, intellectual property, and a range of other commercial matters. He’s also overseen legal aspects of project development for solar projects with aggregate financing of over $2.5 billion.

Tim’s prior in-house experience also provides him with a keen insight into the inner workings of companies and their relationship with their law firm. He now leverages this experience to best serve our firm’s clients. Since joining the firm, Tim has negotiated a number of significant transactions in the cannabis industry, including a joint venture between a retail licenseholder and a major cannabis brand to open a flagship dispensary and a long-term arrangement between one of the state’s largest cultivation operations and a preeminent flower brand.

Tim earned his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and holds a B.S.in Geology from the University of Florida. Tim lives in Alameda, California, just across the estuary from the Ringgenberg Law Firm office. In his free time, he enjoys lazing on Crown Beach with his family, sampling the wares at the island’s various breweries, and playing pinball throughout the Bay Area.
